Win: When you back a horse to win, you win if your horse finishes first.

Place: When you back a horse for a place, you collect if your horses finishes first, second or third. There is no collect for third place if there are fewer than eight runners (excepting late scratchings). If there is fewer than five runners there is no place betting.

Quinella: To win in Quinella wagering, you must pick the two horses finishing first and second in either order.

Exacta: To win in Exacta wagering, you must pick the two horses finishing first and second in exact order.

Trifecta: To win in Trifecta wagering, you must pick the three horses finishing first through third in perfect order. (Mystery bets are available)

This And The Next Doubles: To win a Running of This and the Next Double you must pick the winners of two consecutive races.

Daily Double: To win a Daily Double bet, you must pick the winners of two designated races.

First Four: To win a First Four you must pick four horses to finish first through to fourth in their correct order in a designated race. (Mystery Bets are available)

Quaddie: To get the Quaddie you must select the winners of four designated races.

All Up Win: To win an All Up win bet you must pick two, three or four winners on the same program, (eg. Sydney Races, Race 1 No. 2 to win, All Up Race 3 No. 10 to win and All Up Race 6 No. 3 to win)

All Up Places: To win an All Up place bet you must pick two, three or four place-getters on the same program. (eg. Sydney Races, Race 1 No. 2 to place, All Up Race 3 No. 10 to place and All Up Race 6 No. 4 to place)

Parlay (Win): To win you may select four horses to win on the same program in different races. If a formula parlay is taken, you receive a dividend if two of your selections win, increased if three win and more if all four win. A $1.00 formula two, three and four on four races will cost $11.00. You have six doubles, four trebles and one quaddie.
